A possible knife or some other tool formed from what may be obsidian, a naturally occuring volcanic glass. The identification of the material as obsidian is tentative as obsidian does not occur widely in Britain, and the material may instead by a form of chert, perhaps even flint. However, its dark, almost black, colour and glassy appearance are unusual. A flint tool of prehistoric date, probably Neolithic, and probably a knife. The tool appears to have been formed from an irregular waste piece. There is evidence for slight retouch along one sharp edge, and this was probably used as a slicing blade. The flint has a pale grey patina.

A stone axe dating from the Neolithic period. The axe has been ground from a fine grained igneous greenstone, probably from a volcanic ash deposit. The patina of the surface of the axe is a green/grey, whilst damage shows a dark grey interior. The surface of the axe is quite badly scuffed, chipped and scarred in places, probably a result of plough damage. The axe measures 305.55 mm long, and is 51.12 wide at its widest, tapering to 25 mm wide at the haft end. It is 32 mm thick at its thickest and weighs 29.07 grams. One tertiary waste flake / debitage of Neolithic date (3500 to 2100 BC). The flint is a light grey colour and has been burnt. It is irregular in plan. The dorsal (upper) face exhibits a series of ridges. The ventral (lower) face exhibits conchoidal ripples and a bulb of percussion as evidence of working. There are uncontrolled flint scars present on both the dorsal (upper) and ventral (lower) faces which are the result of post depositional damage due to either movement in the soil or plough roll. The flake measures 42.56mm length, 36.89mm width, 11.96mm thick and weighs 15.6 grams.

The dorsal (upper) face exhibits a series of ridges, and small controlled flint scars along the edges, indicating retouch. The ventral (lower) face exhibits conchoidal ripples as evidence of working. A series of varying sized flake facets are present on the outer (dorsal) faces. Along some of the edges, is evidence of reworking but this could be due to plough roll and movement in the soil. A Flint scraper of probable Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age Date (2500 - 1500 BC). The flint flake is almost semi-circular in shape and oval in cross section. There are a series of uncontrolled fractures and plough roll along the edge of the scraper. There is a small amount of cortex (outer rind) present, less than 25%. The upper face (dorsal) demonstrates several ridges and fracture scars whereas the lower face (ventral) demonstrates conchoidal ripples. It measures 35.66mm length, 22.38mm width, 9.77mm thick and weighs 8.7 grams.
