An incomplete Iron Age cast copper-alloy La Tene I brooch. Length: 37.7mm, width: 7.0mm; measurement from front to reverse: 17mm; mass: 6.1g. The brooch consists of a bow which is C shaped in profile with the remains of the foot at one end. A bilateral spring would have been at the other end but this is missing. The bow has a D shaped section, and tapers from the centre to the ends. In plan, the foot is angled to one side slightly, with a slight vertical groove, possibly caused wear on this side. Cast copper alloy mortar from a cosmetic set. Late Iron Age or Roman. Length: 62.9mm; width: 15.5mm; depth: 11.3mm; mass: 16.2g. The mortar is in the form of a pike, with blue glass pellet eyes, an arched back, a bent over loop as a tail and a hollow underside functioning as the mortar. There is an incised median groove on either side of the body of the fish, and a further groove running down its back, with incised lines between indicating scales. The eyes and gills are in relief and there is a groove around the upturned mouth.

A gold Iron Age stater in superb condition. The coin is a Northern Gold stater of Cunobelin of the joint Catuvellauni/Trinovantes tribe, 'Wild Series A', Hobbs numbers 1887-1792. The coin dates to late in the reign of Cunobelin, towards the latter end of the first century BC to early first century AD. It exhibits some classical influence in the style of the horse and the execution of the coin ear. It bears the inscription CAMV for Camulodonum (Colchester) on the obverse and CVN for Cunobelin on the reverse. It measures 16.71 mm in diameter, 3.08 mm thick and weighs 5.4 grams.

A well preserved and barely worn gold Iron Age stater of British early uninscribed type I, dating from the early to mid first century BC. The coin depicts a stylised head of Apollo on the obverse and a horse facing left with wheel behind on the reverse (see Hobbs 1996, Plate 9, numbers 193-200 for similar). Type I uninscribed coins tend to have a North Eastern distribution, although they are known to have circulated in the midlands (Hobbs 1996, 14). The coin measures 18.36 mm in diameter, is 2.76 mm thick and weighs 6.0 grams.

A cast copper-alloy strap loop of some sort, almost certainly of late Iron Age to very early Roman in date, from circa 120 BC to AD 50. The loop is oval in plan and the sides are waisted, so that the sides flare outwards on the outside of the loop to a ridge at the top and bottom. The outside of the loop is decorated with triangular cells arranged in an 'hour glass' motif, with the points of the triangle facing one another. A copper-alloy 'moustache', so named because of its shape, a sort of comedic, droopy moustache. The object is cast in one piece and measures 21.11 mm in length, 9.91 mm thick and is 20.91 mm in height. It weighs 10.9 grams. The object has a swollen body which tapers towards the pointed terminals. The centre of the body has a uniform vertical groove, 4.7 mm wide, which extends around the object.
