An incomplete toggle or button and loop fastener dating to the Late Iron Age to early Roman period (c. 100 BC - AD100). The head of the toggle is sub-rectangular in plan and D-shaped in cross section. It is made up of three sub-spherical projections in a line, which are waisted on either side of the middle projection. The reverse of the toggle is flat. From the centre of the reverse emerges the loop fastener, projecting down and out at a right-angle. An incomplete copper alloy Late Iron Age/ Early Roman simple one-piece or Nauheim derivative type brooch dating to circa AD 25 - 100. The pin is missing along with half of one of the curls of the spring. The catchplate is complete but the roll has been flattened. The head consists of four spring coils which form the head of the brooch. In profile the bow is broadly flat, the lower part of the bow and catchplate having been bent back. A complete copper alloy fob or dangler (harness fitting), of late Iron Age to Early Roman dating (c. 200BC-200AD). The fob has a circular disc with a central shank projecting from the reverse. An incomplete plated gold stater of the North Eastern Region / Corieltavi, dating to the period AD 15-40, 'Aunt Cost Left' type. Obverse: Wreath crossed by bar with crescent at each end, ring of pellets in each crescent? Reverse: Lunatehorse left, pellet at centre of body, [AVN] above, T CO[ST] (retrograde) below. As BMC p. 180, nos. 3259-3260; cf. ABC no. 1929. The coin has a copper-alloy core with the remains of plated gold surfaces. It has a diameter of 18.0 mm and is 2.8 mm thick. It weighs 2.9 g.
