An incomplete copper alloy brooch of Early Medieval date, dating to the 8th / early 9th century AD.  The plate is lozengiform and rectangular in cross section. One end is missing and the edges are damaged. The opposing complete end is pierced twice and has two rivets still in situ. The front is decorated with incised 'fretted' or 'Greek key' decoration. A worn and incomplete copper-alloy hexagonal 'norse' clapper bell of Early Medieval date (c.AD 850-1050) . The sides are divided into six evenly spaced straight faces with shallow U-shaped notches at the base. At the top is a complete integrally cast rectangular suspension loop with a central circular hole. One side of the bell is missing. The clapper is also missing.  It has a light green surface patina.
