A Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative (Polden Hill) brooch dating to circa (AD 80-120) of (Mackreth Group 3, flat wing ends) type Mackreth (2011), type 3e, Plate 46. A Post Medieval silver sixpence, possible dating c. AD 1660-1700. The coin appears purposefully smoothed possibly to form a 'love token' although the coin does not appear to have been bent. There appear to be a number of lines etched onto the coin. Due to the abrasion, the monarch and reverse are uncertain. Bust facing right.  The coin measures 20 mm in diameter, 0.76 mm in thickness. The object is roughly sub-rectangular in plan, being wider at the top (15.42mm) than at the bottom (11.98mm). There appears to be a split at the wider end, which may suggest use as a strap end. The object is heavily worn, with there being no signs of decoration. There is some iron staining towards the narrower end on the reverse, though there is no sign of there being a rivet hole.
