A Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative (Polden Hill) brooch dating to circa (AD 80-120) of (Mackreth Group 3, flat wing ends) type Mackreth (2011), type 3e, Plate 46. A complete copper alloy stud or mount, probably of Medieval to Post Medieval dating circa AD 1400-1600.  The stud is circular in plan. It consists of a domed (convex) head (diameter 12.8 mm), with the shank attached centrally on the interior surface. The shank is square sectioned, and tapers to a point. An incomplete, copper alloy plate, possibly a buckle plate or strap end or strap fitting of late Medieval to Post Medieval date (c. AD 1300-1600). The object is roughly sub-rectangular in plan, being wider at the top (15.42mm) than at the bottom (11.98mm). There appears to be a split at the wider end, which may suggest use as a strap end. The object is heavily worn, with there being no signs of decoration. There is some iron staining towards the narrower end on the reverse, though there is no sign of there being a rivet hole.
