A fragment of a copper alloy locking arm of a Medieval double loop 'locking buckle' (c. AD 1350-1450). The object is 24.54mm high and has a sub-rectangular cross section. There is a break at the top. The object tapers from 4.45mm wide and 4.09mm thick near the break, to 2.84mm wide and 3.09mm thick near the bottom of the shaft, before expanding to a maximum 4.08mm wide and 5.48mm thick on the lozengiform foot or knop.
