An incomplete hammered silver coin; A long cross penny of Richard II dating from AD 1377 - 1399, mint of York, probably local dies, North 1330d. The coin is missing portions of its outer legend due to clipping and it is pierced with a large circular hole through the centre, punched from the reverse. There is a pellet to the left of the neck and a cross or lis before CIVI. Dimensions: The coin has a diameter of 17.2mm, a thickness of 1.3mm and a weight of 0.86g. It has a hole punched in the centre which is 3.4mm in diameter.
