A small, conical copper alloy sheet metal dagger scabbard chape of medieval to early post medieval date (c 1300 -1500 AD). The chape has been made of a single piece of metal which has been cut and folded to join at an overlapping seam along the reverse. Some ddecoration exisits at the top opening of the chape consisting of two incised lines running parallel to each other around the circumfurance of the chape, within which are two small circular motifs.

A Medieval cast copper alloy enamelled heraldic harness fitting / harness hook of medieval date (1300 - 1325).
The fitting is complete and cast in one piece; it is irregular in plan and cross section having an upper shield (or heater) shaped plate which is rectangular in cross section. This plate expands on its lower edge into a square sectioned skirt, below this a sub-hexagonal (faceted rectangle) sectioned cast and wrought hook extends. Medieval cast copper alloy spherical bell with an integral loop at the top and openwork lower section. The loop is crudely cast with a circular hole through it and rough projections on the outer side, possibly casting flashes that have not been cleared off. The upper (solid) part of the bell has four regularly spaced moulded squared topped and round based shields each within a circle. A fragment of a copper alloy cooking vessel dating to the Medieval to Post-Medieval periods (c. AD 1200-1700). The fragment appears to be a rim sherd probably from a cauldron or posnet. The sherd has a raised groove at the top of the rim measuring 1.42mm, a parallel incised line 5.71mm from the top of the sherd, and two parallel incised lines towards the bottom of the sherd, 1.79mm and 3.85mm from the base. All the lines likely run around the fully diameter of the pot.

A late early-medieval or early medieval (1000-1200) copper-alloy strap fitting from harness / bridle fitting, perhaps from a cheekpiece. It consists of a trapezoidal/ square loop at one end with a parallel-sided integral plate extending from the shortest edge.
The loop is decorated on three outside edges with transverse (and sometimes diagonal) grooves. These edges all slope inwards and have a height of max. 4.1mm. A complete copper alloy, enamelled harness pendant dating to the medieval period (c. AD 1340-1405).
The pendant is lozengiform with a circular suspension loop postioned at 90 degrees to the rest of the object. The face of the pendant is worn but decorated with an enamelled three branched tree surmounted by a lion couchant guardant. The reverse is undecorated. Overall the object has a smooth dark green / brown patina.
A comparative harness pendant is illustrated in Ashley (2002: 17) no.153.

An incomplete medieval copper alloy harness pendant dating from c. AD 1189 - 1399. The pendant is a "heater" shield shaped type (flat top with sides sloping steeply to a point). The suspension lug is missing.The front face of the pendant shows heraldic decoration, consisting of three passant lions left with paws raised. There are traces of red enamel in the background. In heraldic terms this blazon would be described as 'gules, three lions passant guardant'. The reverse is plain and undecorated.

A fragment of a copper-alloy florid cruciform brooch of Early-Medieval date, c. AD 510-580.
The brooch consists of an incomplete knop, probably from the top of the head. All the edges of the fragment are worn breaks, so an original shape cannot be determined.
The decorational style is of incised anthropomorphic decoration with curled scrolls, probably stylised beaks from downturned beaked heads, with projecting triangular finial below the ‘nose’. The reverse is undecorated.

A complete, lead weight of Roman to Post-Medieval date (c.43-1700). It is sub circular in plan and cross section and has flat surfaces on both sides which have rounded edges. The object has a small circular shaped hole through the centre with a diameter of 1.85mm. The object is an off white colour with grey inclusions. A similar example on the Portable Antiquities database is SWYOR-A79DCC. The exact purpose of this type of weight is not known but it could have been used as a line weight for fishing.
