None of the original reverse detail survives and the surface appears to have laminated and subsequently had stamped dots applied. The purpose of this re-use is unclear. The fabric of the coin has laminated and cracked.

This coin type is not listed in Bland and Loriot's corpus of Roman gold coins found in Britain (Bland and Loriot, 2010) and is only the fourth gold coin on the PAS dating to the Tetrarchic period.
