A complete, cast, copper alloy unidentified object of uncertain date, (Roman - modern, c. AD 43 - 1900). The object has a long, solid stem with a slight bend (possibly post-depositional). The stem is decorated with four moulded collars, evenly spaced, with a slight bulge in the final gap between collars. At the bottom of the stem the final collar flares and then tapers inwards to a small, cylindrical knop. A complete copper alloy possible awl of unknown date (Bronze Age - medieval). The awl is circular in section and straight at one end, and square in section and bent at a 90 degree angle on the other end. In the centre of the awl there is a slight bulge. The uneven green/brown patina may indicate a medieval date. Length: 46.87mm, thickness at bulge: 5.50mm, thickness at square point: 1.46mm, thickness at circular point: 1.71mm, weight: 4.88g. Cf. It's top is concave and has an irregular surface, with an abraded break running around the edge. Cast copper-alloy ring of unknown date. The ring has an irregular cross section either oval or sub-rectangular possibly due to wear or mis-alignment of the mould during casting. A copper alloy stud with a round, flat head and the stump of an integral round-sectioned shank on the reverse. There is a collar at the end of the shank which terminates in a break. There is iron residue which suggests attachment. The front has a four ring and dot decoration around the top of the shank. No parallel has been noted. Possibly late Roman or early medieval.
