An incomplete cast copper alloy T-shape brooch of early Roman date. The surviving portion measures 43.9mm in length by 23.9mm across the wings and weighs 13.1g. The cylindrical wings conceal the axis bar for the hinged pin, most of which is missing. The bow narrows then expands out again into an wider section. The foot is plain and rounded and conceals the incomplete catchplate.

An incomplete cast copper alloy T-shape brooch of Roman date. The surviving part of the brooch measures 35.2mm by 16mm by 9.1mm and weighs 9.1g. The cylindrical wings would have held the axis bar for a hinged pin, most of which is missing. Both ends of the wings are decorated with a pair of circumferential incised line. The bow has a crescent-shaped cross-section (convex front and concave back). One part of a two link late Iron Age to early Roman bridle bit of Polden Hill type, c.AD 1-100. This piece is won and broken at both ends. There are extensive remains of a thick black coating on all parts of the bit but concentrated on the central section. This may be the remains of soot deposit from burning. At one end is an oval loop, now broken and worn so the outer edge is narrowed to a point and one side is completely missing with a second, very worn break at the base. A fragment of a Roman copper alloy bracelet that has been trimmed and then bent into a finger ring. Parallels of the bracelet have been dated to c. AD 250-450 (Crummy 1983) The artefact is formed of a strip of copper alloy that is sub-rectangular in cross section with a slightly convex outer surface. This strip has been bent into an oval hoop that is 28.5mm long by 21.6mm wide. One end of the hoop narrows to a rounded terminal (c. 2.3mm wide) that ends in an abraded and smooth break, likely representing the hooked terminal of the original bracelet. the opposite edge does not narrow…

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy devolved T-shaped brooch of Hull T138 dating to the late first to second century AD, incomplete as the pin and headloop are missing and there is a worn break about halfway down the bow. The head has two short cylindrical wings, 26.99mm wide, to hold the axis bar for the hinged pin. Both ends of the wings are abraded. Emerging from the centre of the head is protrusion, possible once a headloop. There is iron corrosion, likely the remains of the pin. An incomplete copper alloy pin of probable Roman to Early Medieval date, c.AD 43-900. The pin has a conical head, no collar, and a thin shaft. It is undecorated, but fairly worn and the shaft terminates in a worn break.  Measurements: the pin measures 39.02mm in length, 10.39mm in diameter at the top of the head, 3.93mm in diameter at the shaft. The weight of the pin is 4.01g. Similar styles are seen in Crummy (1983) pg 29.

A cast copper alloy mount of probable sixteenth century date. The flat circular mount has a diameter of 39.7mm, it is 2.5mm thick and weighs 16g. The front is engraved with a sun burst design and there are traces of gilding. On each side there is a small circular rivet hole, one of which has worn through.

A tinned copper alloy Post-Medieval shoe buckle frame. The frame is rectangular in shape with holes for a seperate central bar. This bar is now missing. The holes are drilled through a thickened section at the mid-point of each of the long sides. The front of the buckle is decorated with grooves and ridges in a symetrical design. The short sides of the frame each have a rectangular projection with a central tongue shape knopw. The inside edges of the frame are bevelled. The reverse is undecorated.
