The fabric is light grey/buff in colour and exhibits a hard fine grained texture. There is an incised transverse line at the edge of the rim, and a double incised transverse line running across the centre of the sherd. The sherd exhibits a distictive slightly flanged rim with a wide V-shaped groove between the rim and the inner wall. The fabric is buff orange in colour with a reduced grey core. It is sandy in texture with a red brown slip. On the innner surface of the vessel are irregularly shaped brown and grey trituration grits. The sherd measures 31.42mm in length, 62.43mm in width, is 22.22mm thick at the rim and 6.96mm thick at the body. It weighs 22.30g.
