It has frequent white and brown sandy inclusions. Two moulded lines are visible across the sherd beneath the rim. The sherd is broadly rectangular in plan and C shaped in profile. The sherd is 32.37mm in length, 24.27mm in width, 6.74mm in thickness and weighs 8.64g.

The fabric is light grey/buff in colour and exhibits a hard fine grained texture. There is an incised transverse line at the edge of the rim, and a double incised transverse line running across the centre of the sherd. The sherd is broadly triangular in plan, and is slightly curved in profile. The sherd is 28.04mm in length, 22.63mm in width, 5.58mm in thickness and weighs 4.83g.

A ceramic probable tessera of Roman date (c. AD 43 - 410). The tessera is asymmetrical in shape, with three squared off sides and one side which has been cut on a diagonal line. It is comprised of a light grey ceramic with a fine sandy texture and occasional sub-rounded white quartz inclusions. The tessera measures 27.46mm in length, 27.25mm maximum width, 20.61mm minimum width, is 16.81mm thick and weighs 21.76g.

The sherd exhibits a distictive slightly flanged rim with a wide V-shaped groove between the rim and the inner wall. The fabric is buff orange in colour with a reduced grey core. It is sandy in texture with a red brown slip. On the innner surface of the vessel are irregularly shaped brown and grey trituration grits. The sherd measures 31.42mm in length, 62.43mm in width, is 22.22mm thick at the rim and 6.96mm thick at the body. It weighs 22.30g.
