Six sherds of samian ware pottery of early Roman date. Three are body sherds and three are rim sherds. Two of the rim sherds have external beads and one is plain. All the sherds are oxidised throughout with shiny brownish-orange slips. The fabric contains moderate very small limestone pieces and occasional voids, so the vessels were probably produced at one of the South Gaulish kilns.

Nine sherds of South-East Dorset Black-Burnished Ware I pottery of Roman date. Five are rim sherds, three are body sherds and one is a base sherd. The largest rim sherd is from a flanged bowl, three others are plain and everted and probably come from jars and the other is flat and appears to have come from a lid with a groove parallel to the rim. Three rim sherds of grey ware pottery of Roman date. They are likely to be of local manufacture. One sherd has a reduced mid to light grey fabric with moderate fine sand temper and sparse mica and grog, the second has a reduced light grey fabric with sparse fine sand, rounded quartz and occasional other inclusions and the third has a reduced mid grey fabrics with mixed temper including moderate sand, sparse quartz, grog, iron oxide and other stone pieces. The sherds probably formed part of small jars or bowls.

Four sherds of abraded wheel made New Forest slipped ware pottery dating from c. 260-370. Three of the sherds have a reduced grey core and a purplish-black slip. These are all body sherds. The largest sherd appears to be from a beaker and it has a small white painted decoration consisting of five short lines. The other sherd is a rim sherd from a bowl with a small external bead. The fine fabric is a reduced light grey and the vessel has a dark grey slip both internally and externally (New Forest fabric 1a). The sherd probably formed part of a globular or bag beaker. The incised wavy parallel lines on the exterior surface are a decorative feature typical of the early fourth century AD.
