A sherd of a South-Western (Glastonbury) type ware bowl or jar of middle to late Iron Age date. The reduced fabric contains moderate sub-angular burnt flint (up to 3mm). The rim is everted with two bands of small stamped rectangles below it and a panel of lightly incised diagonal lines beneath this. Dimensions: 46.7mm by 44.8mm by 8mm Weight: 22g

Six thick-walled pottery sherds of probable late Iron Age date. Five of the six body sherds have reduced light to mid grey cores with oxidised ornage/buff layers adjacent to the more reduced buff/grey surfaces. The other sherd is more comprehensively reduced. The fabric is coarse with moderate red and black iron oxide (<1mm), rare grog (up to 2mm) and rare white inclusions, possibly limestone (up to 2mm). These sherds are likely to have formed part of large thick-walled storage jars and the curvature on one sherds suggests a rolled rim. Total weight: 199g

3 sherds of a hand made, possibly Iron Age vessel from the 8th century BC to the 1st century AD. The sherds have a oxidised pale orange fabric with a reduced grey core. The sherds are heavily abraded have abundant mostly large, c. 3.5mm shell temper inclusions with some smaller shell pieces and consist of two bodysherds and one straight sided rim sherd. The combined weight is 55.43g.

A body sherd of probable late Iron Age date. The sherd measures 51.7mm by 39mm by 9.3mm and weighs 17.8g. It is a reduced mid to dark brownish-grey throughout, with the exception of the internal surface which is a more oxidised buff. The fabric is very sandy and micaceous, with sparse larger whitish (probably rounded quartz) and black (probably balck iron ore) inclusions (up to 1mm).The exterior surface of the vessel has a moulded horizontal bead with a perpendicular ridge and parallel incised line below.

A rim sherd from an Iron Age Glastonbury Ware jar or bowl. The fabric of the sherd is quartz tempered, and fired to a dark brown. The fabric fits into the Meare Fabric Group 1 (Rouillard 1987, 183). The rim is upright, slightly everted and rounded, broken not far below the rim. Both surfaces have been smoothed to finish and the external surface is decorated with curved lines creating a swag like pattern around the circumference of the vessel. A ceramic rim sherd from a vessel of probable Late Iron Age to Roman date (c. 100 BC - AD 200). The sherd is rectangular, with old breaks on three edges and a slightly everted beaded rim. The fabric shades from black at the rim to dark brown with a slightly reduced grey core. It exhibits abundant white chalk and micaceous inclusions. Both exterior and interior faces have been smoothed and the rim exhibits burnishing. The sherd measures 20.83mm in length, 19.46mm in width, is 6.56mm thick and weighs 3.64g.
