A corroded 16th-century copper-alloy post-medieval jetton, anonymous issue, 'ship-penny' type, struck at Nuremberg, c. AD 1553-1559 (cf. Mitchiner 1180/1181). Mitchiner (1988, 374-375) describes these jettons as being of the 'degenerate cross in arcuate yard arm group'. He therefore dates them to the 1550s as they appear closely related to the ship-penny jettons of Jorg Schultes and Hans Schultes I.

A post-medieval Nuremberg copper-alloy jetton of Hans Schultes II ( AD 1586-1603) dating to the period AD 1586 to 1603, of the 'Lion of St Mark' type. Mitchiner (1988:406) no. 1385 is similar with pellets rather than annulets around the tressure on the reverse, annulets are seen on no. 1386 combined with a different obverse die. The piece is unusual thick but Mitchiner (ibid:406) suggests many others of this type are. The jetton has been deliberately pierced with a small circular hole near the rim at 7 o'clock on the obverse correlating to 11 o'clock on the reverse.
