A copper alloy Medieval to Post-Medieval Tournai jetton, dating to AD 1497-1521. A "Chatel Tournious" jetton, depicting the Castle of Tours on the obverse and a cross potent-like cross pattee with four-petalled flowers or quatrefoils in each quarter. Mitchiner (1988: 242, no. 742) publishes a near identical jetton, although the dies do appear to have been different. The legends are nonsense, but this jetton appears to have had a damaged D punch.
