A silver finger ring of uncertain date (c. AD 600 - 1900). The finger ring is formed of a single piece of silver wire joined at the shoulder on one side by soldering. The silver wire has a circular cross-section. The ring exhibits a simple slip-knot with a slightly flattened upper surface as the bezel. The finger ring measures 18.84mm in diameter (16.52mm internal diameter), is 1.14mm thick and weighs 0.75g. Silver wire rings can be difficult to date and may date from the early medieval to modern. Treasure case 2017 T1177: Disclaimed, returned to finder Description: The end of a small silver earscoop or other toilet implement or cosmetic spoon. The piece has an elongated drop shaped (piriform) scoop at the complete end with a rounded end. The piece tapers evenly in width from this end to the stem which is bent up before ending in an old break. The stem is plain and oval in cross section with no clear evidence for twisting. Treasure case 2011 T879: Disclaimed, returned to finder. Description A distorted and fragmentary silver object of uncertain function. The slender twisted stem, which is broken at the distal end and bent in two places, is joined beyond a tongue-like junction to a very incomplete flat plate.
