An incomplete base or plated silver Roman denarius of Severan date, possibly of Caracalla (AD 198-217) dating to the period c.AD 212-217 (Reece period 10). Reverse: (VO?)[…]TA, Emperor(?) togate, standing left sacrificing over a tripod. Prototype of the mint of Rome. The bust type is slightly unclear due to the preservation of the coin but seems to be an older Caracalla rather than Severus, Geta, or Elagabalus. What survives of the reverse suggests a Vota type but with legend that isn't seen on Caracalla's later issues, probably indicating this is an irregular copy…

RIC IV, Caracalla 302. The piece is approximately one quarter of the coin. The direct distance between the two ends of the circumference is 14.7mm, while the edges that approximate radii are 13.3mm and 11.6mm long. The piece is 1.9mm thick and weighs 1.25g.
