An incomplete copper alloy pointed object possibly Stylus or awl of Roman to Early-Medieval date (AD 43-800). The object is cylindrical and tapers from a blunted domed head at the lower end and terminates in a transverse break at the upper end. It has a medium green patina.
The object is 52.03mm long, 8.35mm in diameter and weighs 24.08 grams

Copper alloy object, possibly a stylus of Roman - Post Medieval date or a toilet implement of similar date. The object is a long point, sub-rectangular in section with rounded corners and tapers evenly and consistantly from one end to the other. The very tip of the point is thinned to a fairly sharp point. The broader end also tapers in thickness to a flattened end the outer edge of which is slightly convex with rounded corners. It is bent over at 45 degrees, about one third of the way from the broad end and has a corroded surface, marking any decoration. It is now 77.4mm long, c.80mm…
