Post Medieval cast copper-alloy eyelet or mount of probable 16th or 17th century date. The piece has an oval plate with a large circular hole in the centre. The front is moulded into raised transverse sections with indents between radiating out from the central hole. The outer edge is scalloped with the rouned ends of the raised sections projecting out beyond the indented areas. On the back are two integral attachment spikes, one at each end.
