An incomplete copper alloy post-medieval dress hook or fastener, c. AD 1500-1700. The hook is trefoil with a central perforation, through which a spherical attachment knop protrudes. The face of the hook plate is decorated with hollow circular bosses topped with six pellets in a flower arrangement (five around the edge and one in the centre). Two of these bosses are missing, one remains. On the back of the hook plate the attachment shank connects to a sharply curved hook. An incomplete copper alloy openwork dress hook of post-medieval date, c. AD 1600-1700. The dress fastener exhibits a circular projecting loop with the corroded remains of an iron rivet visible in the central aperture. The openwork decoration consists of two circular apertures positioned one above the other, with a lozengiform aperture to the side. The fastener then tapers and exhibits a circular rivet hole with the remains of a corroded rivet within. The fastener then narrows to form a projecting hook, the tip of which is bent backwards.
