A possible cast lead amulet of Roman date. The possible amulet measures 24mm by 22.5mm by 9.1mm and weighs 28.6g. It consists of a convex face on a flat square background, cast in one piece. The face is oval, with lightly defined eyes, nose and expressionless mouth. It has no ears or hair. The back is flat and undecorated. The face has a Roman appearance (for example it is similar to SOMDOR-86B238, the head of a figurine from Puddletown, Dorset) but is so simple it might equally be later in date.
