A fragment of Roman ceramic hypocaust/flue tile dating to AD43 - 410. The front surface has the combed keying pattern for mortar, with two sets of five parallel lines. The lines are shallow and narrow with wide spaces between. The reverse is plain. The fabric has fine sand temper and common very fine chalk and patinated flint inclusions mostly very small but with some pieces up to 1mm long. A rim shard of a Roman Samian Dragendorff type 31 shallow bowl. The concave upper part of the bowl from the rim down to the the sharp angle inwards indicates it is of this style. Although most of this form originate from Central Gaul the slightly more pink and non-micaceous fabric of this fragment indicates that it may be from East Gaul, dating this piece to mid-2nd to mid 3rd century (Webster, 1996, pg. 14 and 35). It measures in length 57.2mm, width 34.5mm, thickness 7.8mm and weighs 11.86g.

Medieval ceramic pitcher handle in Salisbury-Poole Harbour ware, probably from Laverstock, of 12th to 15th century date. Pale buff fabric with pink-orange surface and abundent coarse sand temper up to 0.75mm which protrudes on surface. the handle is oval in section with slightly flattened outer side, rilled at one end with three grooves with raised angular ribs between them and to sides and with a central indent at the other. 77.7mm long, 27.4 by 16.2 at rilled end, 21.2mm by 20.4mm at centre, 46.93 grams.

Two body sherds of Roman greyware vessels, 1st-4th century AD. Reduced grey fabric with abundant fine-medium quartz sand temper and occasional small angular quartz inclusions. both are from large vessel with parallel ripples on the inside from wheel throwing and abraded corners. 19.18 g in total.
