An undecorated body sherd from a vessel of possible Early Bronze Age date. The vesicular (porous) fabric is an oxidised mid-orange with one grey reduced surface. The fabric contains sparse rounded grog inclusions (up to 2mm). Other inclusions appear to have been burnt out. They may have been organic and/or the vessel may have been over-fired. A flint thumbnail scraper of probable early Bronze Age date. The scraper has been made froma tertiary flake. At the proximal end on the ventral surface is a bulb of percussion and a marked bulbar scar. Ripples radiate down the ventral surface. On the dorsal surface there are a number of flaking scars and the distal end has been abruptly retouched. The mid to dark grey flint has a mid-gloss patina. A fragment of a cast copper alloy socketed axehead of late Bronze Age date. The fragment measures 42.3mm by 28.5mm by 5.4mm and weighs 27.7g. It comprises part of two sides of the socket, which has a thickened edge and an adjacent transverse linear moulding, and a short length of the axhead itself. A fragment of a cast copper alloy socketed axehead or socketed chisel of late Bronze Age date. The fragment measures 32.3mm by 32.9mm by 8.6mm and weighs 12.8g. It comprises the straight cutting edge and a short length of the tapering axehead. One side survives more intact than the other. The socket reaches almost to the cutting edge. In the centre of each side there is a longitudinal casting seam.

A flint barbed and tanged arrowhead of early Bronze Age date. The arrowhead measures 27.3mm by 21.3mm by 3.9mm and weighs 1.6g. It has been invasively retouched over both faces. One tang has broken off. Both the tang and the surviving bard are rounded. The barbs are slightly longer than the tang so this example is a Green Low type. The mottled white to bluish-grey flint has a low-gloss patina.

There is a small notch along one edge which probably reflects recent damage. The arrowhead weighs less than 8g and has a small length to width ratio, so this example is a Sutton type. The partially transparent mid-brown flint has a mid-gloss patina.

A flint end scraper of probable early Bronze Age date. The scraper has been made from a secondary flake (some cortex remains at the proximal end). Also at the proximal end is the striking platform and below this on the ventral surface is a large bulb of percussion. Ripples radiate down the ventral surface and there are a number of flaking scars on the dorsal surface. The distal end has been coarsely retouched. A cast copper alloy palstave axe of Middle Bronze Age date. The looped palstave measures 147mm in length by 55.2mm (width across cutting edge) by 35.6mm and weighs 389g. The cutting edge is crescentic with a wide edge bevel and there is a single central linear moulding on both sides of the blade which starts 27mm from the cutting edge and ends close to the stop ridge. A cast copper alloy palstave axe of Middle Bronze Age date. The looped palstave measures 176mm in length by 54.3mm (width across cutting edge) by 37.2mm and weighs 532g. The cutting edge curves slightly and the blade has three ridges, one central and one along each edge. The stop is slightly rounded and the side flanges are high. There is a casting seam along the centre of the sides of the blade and flange. The palstave belongs to the Taunton phase of metalworking. It has a rich dark green patina in some places, although much of the surface is pitted and some of the edges are damaged.

A hoard of nineteen incomplete and fragmentary gold items of Middle Bronze Age date: 1. Bar torc (part) of triangular cross section, with simple hooked terminal. It is roughly and loosely coiled and irregularly twisted. The torc was originally untwisted and penannular in shape, the twisting and distortion to its shape occurred at the time of coiling, probably shortly before final deposition. Length 560mm. A cast copper alloy palstave of early Middle Bronze Age date. The unlooped palstave measures 155mm in length by 66.2mm (width across cutting edge) by 37.2mm and weighs 426g. The cutting edge is crescentic. The butt has parallel sides and the end is damaged with a small part missing. The stop is rounded and the side flanges are high. There is a very faint casting seam along the centre of the sides of the blade and flange. This palstave falls into the Acton Park phase of metal-working. The palstave is in good condition with an even dark brown patina.
