It is undecorated, but fairly worn and the shaft terminates in a worn break.  Measurements: the pin measures 39.02mm in length, 10.39mm in diameter at the top of the head, 3.93mm in diameter at the shaft. The weight of the pin is 4.01g. Similar styles are seen in Crummy (1983) pg 29.

An incomplete Roman copper alloy pin dating to the early to mid 2nd century AD (100 - 150 AD).  The pin is missing its head, which was probably onion shaped. The collar is decorated with three incised lines around its width. The shank is circular in cross section and tapers to a worn break.  Measurements: the pin measures 41.95mm in length, 4.72mm in width at the top of the collar, tapering to 1.1mm at the break. The weight of the pin is 2.44g. Similar styles are seen in Holbrook and Bidwell (1991) pg 259, fig 118, no. 129.

Body sherd from a Nene Valley ware of unknown vessel type dating to the 2nd to 4th century (c. 150 - 400 AD). The small fragment has a orange/yellow core, with abundant very fine quartz sand grain inclusions. Both the topside and the underside are coated in a dark brown/black slip, which is slighlty abraded on the topside. The breaks are neither particularly fresh nor particularly worn. The sherd measures 28.5mm long by 30mm wide, is 3.1mm thick and weighs 4.25g.

An incomplete copper alloy Roman brooch, c. AD 50-150. The brooch comprises a strip bow which originally had a hinged pin (now missing). The bow of the brooch is decorated with three grooves: the outer two made up of very small lateral nicks, and the central one a deep incision.
