A gilded copper-alloy Borre/Jellinge-style disc brooch dated to the late ninth/ early tenth centuries. The brooch depicts two biting S-shaped creatures in the Scandinavian Borre/Jellinge style. Each animal has a round eye, 'ponytail' and a ribbed body with spiral shoulder. The recessed areas of the brooch carry the remains of gilding. Each animal bites its own tail, while gripping its partner's rear leg with its back paw. This motif is seen on Viking-Age pendants and brooches within Scandinavia, and is also found on a handful of disc brooches from England (see, for instance, NMS-0F69C…

Fragment of a Roman finger ring consisting of an oval silver bezel and oval carnelian? intaglio. The edges of the bezel are incomplete. The red intaglio is carved with a bearded man's head facing right. Bezel dimensions 17.5 x 14 mm, thcikness 0.2. Intaglio dimensions 16.2 x 13.5, thickness 3mm. There appears to be no close parallel in Henig's Corpus 1974.

Roman copper alloy 'Coptic pan'. The pan is teardrop-shaped and has iron patch repairs with an incomplete handle.Green patina with iron corrosion around patches. It is 295mm long, 205mm wide and has a depth of approximately 50mm. The object was identified by Tony Gregory in 1985 as a Coptic pan.

Copper alloy Roman Hod Hill brooch fragment of Hull T60 type consisting of the lower bow,foot and catchplate. The bow is triangular in section and the face is 'squared'. There is a longitudinal groove at the outer edge of one side of the bow; it is likely there was also one on the opposing outer edge, but there is no evidence of this now.The foot has two transverse grooves. Pale green with mid green patches. The brooch is 22.6mm long, at its widest point (including bow and catchplate) it is 6.7mm deep.
