An incomplete silver baby (comforter) consisting of a rattle and a whistle from the Victorian to Edwardian period (ad 1820 - 1910) The object is split along the join seam. Around the circumference of the object at it's centre are two banded ribs to which 3 bells would have been attached. Two of the 3 bells that were originally attached are missing, probably in antiquity. The remaining bell shows signs of damage. The surface is decorated with a mixture of floral and geometric incised lines. Length: 60.27mm.  Diameter at centre: 14.05mm Weight: 12.23gms

A complete Medieval cast copper alloy horse harness pendant, probably dating to c. AD 1280-1400.  The pendant is in the shape of a square topped shield (heater shield), with straight top and convex sides meeting at a point at the bottom. From the middle of the top edge projects an integral loop set at 90 degrees to the plate. An incomplete copper alloy strap slide, most probably for a 19th century horse harness. The front of the object is domed with a Tudor rose style motif that still has the remains of silvering. The reverse is dished and has two lugs that would have sat either side of the strap. There is still iron on the end of the lugs, presumably the remains of an iron fitting. An incomplete, copper alloy Roman British Plate brooch of the domed boss (umbonate) type dating from AD 80 to 250. It is domed on the front face and concave at the rear. An incomplete copper alloy Post Medieval pin. The Head is made from two separate hemispheres, each is Cinquefoil in plan with 5 evenly spaced lobes, the mid-section is then waisted with an incised line (presumably where the two halves are soldered together). The lower half mirrors its counterpart with a further 5 lobes directly underneath.
