A complete cast lead spindle whorl or weight, of unknown date. This is plano-convex in shape with a convex upper surface and flat reverse. It has a moulded circular aperture slightly off-centre measuring c. 10.5mm in diameter. The surface of the spindle whorl is covered entirely in a dark grey patina. The maximum diameter is 30.3mm and the height 7.1mm. The spindle whorl weighs 27.10 grams. The shape conforms to Walton Rogers form A1. A cast copper alloy Early Medieval stirrup terminal dating to circa AD 950-1100. The terminal is hollowed with a convex front face and concave reverse. It is rendered in the form of a styled animal foot consisting of a flat D-shaped base with evenly spaced trilobite projecting knops emerging from the front of the flat base. An incomplete Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative, rear-hook brooch, probably dating to c. AD 43-100. Only the sprung pin mechanism is missing. A Post Medieval (16th century) copper alloy and iron knife cap. Tnife cap is sub-rectangular in plan with rounded corners and is oval in cross section. On each side face there is an incised X as decoration. At one terminal there is a slot within which there is an iron knife tang fragment. The surface of the knife cap is abraded and has a mid red-brown coloured surface. The stop is 13.4mm long, 11.7mm wide, 9.8mm thick and weighs 7.35 grams. The remains of the fastener consists of a broadly sub-rectangular flattened plate which has been extruded and bent over into a hook.
