Early Bronze Age flint scraper The scraper is of ‘thumbnail’ type (with a length of 17.2mm, a width of 21.3mm, a thickness of 5.7mm and a weight of 2.6g). The retouch arcs around all of the edge apart from the straight proximal end. The dorsal surface has a large proportion of cortex. The scraper is made on grey unpatinated flint.

Roman copper alloy vessel lid The lid is complete and includes the hinge from the copper alloy vessel (with an overall length of 59.3mm, a width of 46.5mm and a weight of 36.7g). The surviving fragment from the body of the vessel is solid and is broken at both ends (with a surviving height of 20.5mm and a surviving width of 19mm). The lug flares at the base towards the vessel and is likely to have converged to a rounded spike above the hinge. Roman copper alloy bow brooch probably of trumpet derivative type and 2nd century date The brooch is fragmentary and distorted, represented by the upper bow (with a length of 25.6mm and a weight of 2.5g). The brooch employed a spring mechanism, now missing. The spring was likely to have been secured within lateral lugs, which have also been lost (giving the wings a surviving 13.7mm). Roman copper alloy bow brooch of Hod Hill type and of 1st century AD date The brooch is incomplete, missing the pin and leg (with a surviving length of 36.3mm, a depth of 11.6mm and a weight of 6.2g). The hinged spring was secured within a rolled head (15.2mm wide). There is iron corrosion within the rolled head, suggestion the axis bar was iron. The sides are concave, producing a minimum diameter of 12.2mm). One of the faces has the suggestion of an incised design, possibly a star within a circular border. The weight weighs 25.0g, which is equivalent to 0.885oz. The weight is not diagnostic and is difficult to date the weight of 25.0g is broadly consistent with a 1oz weight of Medieval and post medieval systems.
