Roman copper alloy cosmetic mortar, probably of 1st or 2nd century AD date
The cosmetic mortar is complete and has a length of 58.4mm and has a weight of 15.1g. The end-loop is of circular section (3.0mm-3.9mm thick) and is of turned-over form with a bill-like projection, which continues beneath the bow for a length of 9.6mm. The loop and projecting bill was likely to have been intended to resemble a stylised duck’s head (Jackson 1985, p 168) . The loop has an internal diameter of 4.9mm (11.3mm external). Copper alloy beaded bracelet fragment of late Iron Age to Early Roman date, c. 1st century AD
The bracelet is represented by two globular beads and has a surviving length of 25.0mm and weighs 7.2g. The beads have a thickness and width of 9.0mm. The bracelet thins to 5.2mm between the beads. The surface of the bracelet is eroded but some surviving decoration is evident, comprising ribs near the ends of the beads. The curvature of the bracelet fragment may suggest a bracelet of c. 50mm diameter. The bracelet has poor surface preservation with pale-green surface colour.

Medieval copper alloy belt mount probably dating to the 2nd half of the 14th century
The belt mount is complete and is of bar-mount form and has two smaller terminal lobes, flanking a central lobe (with a length of 16.4mm and a weight of 1.3g). The two smaller terminal lobes (4.9 & 5.0mm wide and 2.7mm deep) are perforated to take separate attachment rivets for securing the mount, one of which remains in place (1.0mm diameter and 3.6mm long). The central domed lobe (with a width of 11.0mm and a depth of 3.6mm) is decorated with four closely-spaced incised grooves, forming fine ribs…
