A complete Iron Age gold stater of the Atrebates/southern region, struck under Tincomarus (25 BC-AD 10) dating to the period c.20 BC-AD 10, Rudd’s ‘Tincomarus Warrior Com F’ type. Possibly mis-struck as the reverse has a smeared appearance and the pellet border appears slipped. The coin has a rose gold appearance.

Description & identification
The reported object is a decorative gold posy ring. The ring consists of a thin gold band, D-shaped in section, with a tightly set repeating pattern of tooled S-shaped indentations on the external surface, possibly for enamel, although none appears to have survived. The internal surface in engraved with an inscription which reads ‘Though absent yet constant’ in italic letters in sentence case. The ring profile is slightly misshapen.

Description and identification
The reported object is a cast gold finger ring with stone setting. It has an octagonal hollow bezel tapering upwards to form an oval aperture for the stone. Inside the bezel are the remains of a dark red cabochon stone, now sunken. The band is flat, plain and slightly D-shaped in cross section. There is a small panel on each shoulder, decorated with a series of horizontal chased grooves. The band is misshapen, and the back of the bezel is plain and flat.

Decorative gold ring is of part-hollow construction, with a hexagonal bezel set with a small uncut (cabochon) blue sapphire which is now in two fragments. The hoop broadens at the shoulders (the hollow element), where there is a low ridge either side of the bezel. An incomplete Post Medieval gold ring, dating from the mid-18th, to mid-19th century, c.1750 to 1850.
The ring has a fluted bezel which is formed around the ring’s hoop. The bezel is crushed and the stone is no longer present. The bezel measures 3.39mm high, 6.11mm wide and 2.77mm deep. The ring hoop has a current outer diameter (excluding bezel) of 15.83mm and an inner diameter of 13.65mm, it is circular in cross section.

The object is a decorative gold ring with a deep oval bezel (height 5.7mm), once set with a small uncut (cabochon) stone, perhaps a sapphire. There is a small transverse ridge on each side of the bezel at the junction with the hoop, and the lower half of the bezel is chamfered to give a truncated biconical profile.
