The object is lozenge in cross section, broken in half with one surviving prong that tapers to a rounded point at the end. The break is likely at the point where the rabbat (notch) would have held the iron tongue, which is now missing. The object is a mid green patina with an overall length of 58.5mm, 11.3mm wide, 6.3mm thick and weighs 7.5g.

Two lead discs of uncertain function, likely of Roman date.
The find consists of two lead discs, sub circular in plan, one with a (now partially flattened) turned up edge a pie crust, the other roughly flat. Due to the softness of the lead, both halves are damaged and distorted, meaning that exact original forms are uncertain. The key has an oval handle with two circular perforations, an oval sectioned stem that tapers towards the handle, and a three lobed bit with a rectangular guide bar and a triangular hole. Roman copper alloy bow brooch of T-shaped type and of 1st or 2nd century AD date
The brooch is incomplete, missing the leg and pin (with a surviving length of 22.5mm, a surviving depth of 8.4mm and a weight of 3.6g). The missing pin was hinged within sub-circular sectioned, tubular wings (with a width of 23.0mm and a diameter of 4.0mm - 4.7mm). The axis bar is missing and corrosion suggests it was made of iron.
