A near-complete cast lead alloy ampulla of Medieval date (c.AD 1200-1400). The ampulla is closed at the mouth, which has a moulded rim (27.9mm wide). The sub-rectangular and slightly-flaring neck curves expands slightly again to the round body (32.8mm wide). The front is decorated with uneven and poorly executed incised lines mimicking a scallop shell. The other side was also likely decorated but the design has been damaged by surface corrosion. A fragmentary Post Medieval ceramic sherd from a vessel base, probably a handled cup/mug (‘tyg’) or jar, of 17th century AD date. The fragment is black glazed red ‘Cistercian’ ware with a surviving height of 21.0mm and width of 33.7mm. A sharp fragment is adhered to the inside surface of the base indicating an explosion in the kiln or misfire likely damaged this vessel beyond repair. The fragment has a smooth black glaze with a reddish fabric and weighs 8.85g. A similar fragment can be seen Gloucester pottery fabric type series (potsherd.net)

A fragment of cast copper alloy spearhead dating from the Middle to Late Bronze Age (c. 1500BC-800BC). The fragment represents only the very tip of the spearhead and is heavily corroded. The loss of diagnostic features due to damage means it is impossible to assign this fragment to a precise type and date range. An incomplete cast copper alloy pin likely of Early Medieval date (c. AD 700-900). The pin has a 14.1mm long, 11.15mm wide, 1.1mm thick flat shield shaped head- a flat end with sides tapers slightly down 9.7mm to rounded corners, from which the sides turn in sharply to meet the top of the shank. The head is decorated on both face with incised ring and dot motifs. The decoration on each side is non-identical: one side has eight larger c. 3.3mm diameter ring-and-dots while the other has 10 c.2.5mm diameter ring-and-dots. An incomplete harness toggle of late Iron Age to early Roman date. The object consists of approximately 4/5th of the original toggle, missing the end of one arm. The mid-section is broadly sub-rectangular in plan (with a length of 25.15mm, a height of 11.96mm and a depth of 12.81mm. The walls of the central section are 3.85mm in thickness. The central opening is sub-rectangular, with a length of 22.06mm and a width of 5.42mm. Either side of the mid-section are two arms. The incomplete arm is 27.48mm and ends in a rough break. A near complete cast copper alloy casket key, of Post Medieval date, 1500 -1600 AD The key’s bow is oval shaped, with two pointed internal projections into the bow from the stem. There is a molded collar beneath the bow, which is comprised of two thin bands flanking a thicker bulbous band. The stem is circular in cross section. The bit consists of a rectangular toothed ward which ends at a worn break, suggesting there may have been more of the bit.  The key is brown in colour with areas of light green corrosion and an uneven surface patina.
