Two fragments of Pewter or copper alloy- one possible vessel rim. Little diagnostic but maybe a medieval or post medieval vessel. A fragment 46.4mm long, 19.8mmwide and a maximum of 1.5mm thick, weighs 5.07g. The fragment has a channel beaten in lengthways with flanking ridges. One long edge is thinner that the other- 0.9mm vs 1.3mm. Possible vessel rim, but every edge is a break, and no other diagnostic features. Copper alloy vessel rim and handle fragment of uncertain date, possibly medieval The cast vessel is fragmentary, represented by a rim fragment (40.5mm long) and the upper part of the handle (40.5mm deep and weighing 49.2g), soldered together. The vessel rim has little curvature across its width, suggesting a vessel of sizeable diameter. The outside of the vessel is straight along its length (23.1mm surviving length) and has no decoration. Copper alloy handle, possibly of Roman date The object is incomplete, broken at the narrow end (with a surviving length of 38.0mm and a weight of 4.5g). The complete end is of oval section and is rounded with an expanded terminal (with a width of 10.0mm and a thickness of 3.6mm). The handle gradually narrows towards a decorative double-ribbed moulding, which all the way around the fitting. The damaged end thins, as if to a blade (with a thickness of 1.1mm). Fragment of a cast vessel handle or mount. The mount has two drilled attachment holes either side of a gently curved end. The beginning of the possible handle is defined by a low moulding present only on the upper area of the fragment. The handle has a ‘D’ shaped cross section, which becomes narrower as it approaches the broken end.
