Probable vessel fragment, possibly a handle of Early Medieval date The object is incomplete, broken at one end (with a surviving length of 101.9mm and a weight of 197.7g). The possible handle is of D-shaped section at the break (26.8mm wide and 14.7mm thick) and has straight, slightly converging sides towards the terminal. The face is near flat, slightly concave along its length and is decorated with a panel within a raised border, comprising an interlace design in sunken relief.
