The brooch is fragmentary, represented by the bow and leg (with a surviving length of 39.7mm, a surviving depth of 20mm and a weight of 6.6g). The arched bow is of D-shaped section with straight and near-parallel sides (7.6mm wide and 4.0mm – 4.7mm thick).
