The ring consists of a thin gold band, D-shaped in section, with a tightly set repeating pattern of tooled S-shaped indentations on the external surface, possibly for enamel, although none appears to have survived. The frame is decorated with continuous transverse incised bands or ridges on the front surface, some of which are inlaid with a darker material, possibly niello. Circumstances of discovery and reporting A ceramic pot containing 2733 Roman silver and copper alloy coins was discovered by David Henry Moss and Tom Taylor on 22nd December 2018 in Caerhun Community, Conwy.  The hoard was found while metal detecting on cultivated land that was under pasture at the time. The top of the pot was discovered at a depth of about 30cm below the surface of the field, at the top of a slight mound. Middle Bronze Age bronze dirk, probably of Group III weapons with a damaged butt The dirk is near-complete with some peripheral damage to the butt (with a length of 121.3mm and a weight of 31.0g). The apex and shoulders of the butt are corroded and rounded (with a width of 31.1mm and a thickness at the apex of 0.8mm). Description and identification Two halves of a decorated silver annular brooch frame. It is misshapen, with each part forming an elongated ‘U’ shape, which was once likely circular. The level of distortion obscures the form of the decoration on each ‘face’.
