Late Medieval lead alloy purse bar, c. 15th or 16th century The purse bar is complete with a length of 53.6mm and a weight of 7.1g. The terminals were pointed with a flange before a recess to secure the missing frame. The bars are of sub-rectangular section with attachment plates beneath. The bar widens (to 10.1mm) and thins (to 3.6mm) at the centre to accommodate a perforation (3.0mm diameter), through which the loop would have passed. No decoration is evident on the purse bar. The surface is poorly preserved and has a mid-grey colour.

Microscopic examination suggests the fragment is encrusted wuth ferrous and manganese oxide corrosion products presumably derived from the burial environment. Original blade width c.51mm, surviving height of fragment 40.5mm, maximum surviving thickness 13.5mm, weight 66.2g.

This bronze casting jet represents the by-product of the manufacture of a socketed axe. The jet is of a roughly circular form and displays all four runners. The four runners together with its geographic location strongly hint at the jet being removed from an axe of type Storgursey or 'South Wales Type'. The patina on the casting jet varies from a brown to light green and the jet now displays a sheen due to polish or lacquer applied by the finder. Incomplete copper alloy bracelet of Late Roman date, probably dating to the 3rd or 4th century AD. The bracelet is of flat section of between 2.0 and 2.5mm thickness and has a surviving length of approximately 100mm when straightened. A contemporary copy of a CERES AVGVSTA type dupondius of Claudius I, 41-54 AD. Th coin could therefore date to any time after the beginning reign of Claudius I. The coin is worn and weighs 10.17g. Robert Kenyon, following on from the work by the French scholars P-A. Besombes and M. Bompaire (in Trésors Monétaires XXI, 2005), is working through the British examples of Claudian coinage recorded through the PAS assigning many so-called Claudian contemporary copies to Roman auxiliary mints which operated at Lyons (Gaul) and in Spain. Late medieval to Post medieval copper alloy buckle of 14th to 16th century date The buckle frame is of trapezoidal form with a concave outer edge (with a length of 24.7mm, a width at the outside edge of 22.7mm, a width at the bar of 16.1mm and a weight of 4.4g). The frame is of sub-square section (3mm square). The corners of the outside edge are decorated with diagonal grooves. Post medieval copper alloy dress-hook of 17th century date The dress-hook is near complete (with a length of 27.5mm and a weight of 2.0g) and the loop is sub-rectangular with undulating sides (with a width of 13.9mm). The loop is an irregular oval and the midsection is decorated with two raised knops (Giving a thickness of 2.0mm) before two attachment holes near the hook. The hook is forward projecting (with a depth of 6.2mm). The surface has a grey-green to dark-green corroded patina.
