Roman copper alloy bow of Developed T-shaped type of T108 and of 2nd century AD date. The brooch is near-complete, missing the end of the pin (with a length of 45.5mm, a depth of 18.5mm and a weight of 12.4g). The copper alloy pin is hinged within tubular wings (with a width of 23.0mm and a diameter of 4.2mm) probably around an iron axis bar. The ends of the wings have a decorative vertical rib. An incomplete copper alloy plate brooch of Roman date (c. 70-250 AD). The brooch belongs to Mackreth’s British Plate 5.a (Dished Cone), as No. 11119, Pl. 108. The brooch is incomplete and distorted, missing the pin and axis bar as well as parts of the rim and inner plate. A complete forged copper alloy spiral finger ring of probable Iron Age to Roman date (c. 200BC-AD 410). The ring is of Guiraud Type 7 (Guiraud 1989, 195-6). The ring is made from a forged bar of copper alloy 4.3- 4.8mm diameter wrapped around to form a ring, completing two full turns. The section of the bar is circular. The internal diameter of the ring is variable with a maximum of 22.1mm. The brooch is comprised of the wings, spring, bow, foot and catch plate with a portion of the spring and pin missing in old damage (overall surviving length 34.7mm). Circumstances of discovery and reporting A hoard of 37 Roman silver coins was discovered by David Henry Moss and Tom Taylor on 20th-21st December 2018 and 19th January 2019 in Caerhun Community, Conwy. The coins were found while metal detecting on cultivated land that was under pasture at the time. Circumstances of discovery and reporting A ceramic pot containing 2733 Roman silver and copper alloy coins was discovered by David Henry Moss and Tom Taylor on 22nd December 2018 in Caerhun Community, Conwy.  The hoard was found while metal detecting on cultivated land that was under pasture at the time. The top of the pot was discovered at a depth of about 30cm below the surface of the field, at the top of a slight mound. Description of the finds Silver crossbow brooch, complete and well preserved with little sign of corrosion, apart from the pin, which is of copper alloy and only survives as badly corroded fragments. A complete, slightly distorted copper alloy child’s bracelet of probable broad Roman date (c. 43-410AD). The bracelet comprises a single rectangular strip of 4.5mm wide, 2mm thick D-sectioned copper alloy bent into a flattened penannular hoop.
