The fragment comprises two joined parts, joined at an expanded sleeve (with a diameter of 13.8mm). The casting seams are clearly discernible on both sections. The weight is not diagnostic and is difficult to date the weight of 25.0g is broadly consistent with a 1oz weight of Medieval and post medieval systems.

Decorated lead pan weight of uncertain date, probably later Medieval or early Post medieval. The weight is an irregular circular with a raised border. The face is decorated with cast pellets between radiating lines from a central pellet. The weight (abraded around the edges) now weighs 45.7g or 1.61oz. (706 grains). While this weight does not correspond very closely to standardised weights, the decoration has some similarities with a larger lead weight found in London (Egan, 1998, No. 1008, pp314, fig. 235) in a late 14th century context.

The quarter ounce trade weight is complete, with a few damaged edges, measuring 19.5mm in diameter, 3.4mm in thickness and weighing 6.05g. The raised edge around the stamped inner area is 2mm wide and 0.6mm high. The weight is stamped with a sword (the City of London Guildhall mark) a ewer (the London Founder's Company mark) and a crowned 'C' which would indicate it was issued during either the reign of Charles I (1625-1649) or Charles II (1660-1685).
