Lead suspension weight of medieval or post medieval date
The cast weight is of pointed-oval or lentoid form and is damaged at one end, probably having lost an integral loop at the apex (with a surviving length of 60.5mm and a weight of 105.4g). The weight is widest at its midsection (where it has a width of 27.5mm and a thickness of 17.4mm). The edge has a thickened border of variable width. There is the suggestion of moulded diagonal ribs from the centre but now largely lost.
The weight can be paralleled with a number of examples recorded with PAS[1] often regarded as fish…

The face as a border (of 5mm) before a step (of 2.8mm) defining an inner shield (42mm long and 31mm wide). Any decoration on the shield in no longer evident. The rear of the weight is flat and is not decorated.
The weight has a current weight of 225.1g…

Complete post medieval copper alloy trade weight of Charles I or II (1625-1649 or 1660-1685). The weight is discoidal, with tapering sides and a raised rim around the upper surface. The centre of the upper surface is slightly raised with a central indentation and three stamped marks. The crowned CR monogram marks the weight as being made during Charles’ reign, while the other two marks are indistinct. One may be a three masted ship, while the other is poorly struck and unclear in form. The reverse has a central indentation surrounded by a shallow circular depression

Post medieval copper alloy cup weight from a nested set, probably of 16th to 18th century date
The weight is complete (with a basal diameter of 20mm, a rim diameter of 29mm, a height of 16.6mm and a thickness of 2.5mm) and now weighs 28.02g, equivalent to an avoirdupois ounce (28.35g).
