Description The reported object is a silver chape from a scabbard of a narrow-bladed weapon. It is formed of thin sheet metal, bent into a narrow tubular profile which tapers to a rounded tip. There is a vertical seam along one edge, which has split almost the entire length of the chape. The opening is engrailed or scalloped, the apices of which bend inwards slightly and are slightly damage. Gilded silver gilt dress pin of 16th-century date. The pin has a hollow-cast spherical head decorated with applied filigree and granulated ornament in the form of beaded circles punctuated by knops. The two hemispheres are divided by a double filigree border. At the junction of the head and shaft is a small loop. The pin has broken in antiquity beneath the loop.

Description The reported object is a silver gilt devotional reliquary pendant (weight 17.613g.). It is of rounded arch niche form, with one hinged door. This has been made with the hinge on the right, and was opened by removing a pin which slides through retaining tubes on the left side of the pendant. The pendant is incomplete, missing two of the cruciform arms and the suspension loop (with a surviving length of 18.9mm and a weight of 1.7g). The arms and loop may have been damaged comparatively recently, as evidenced by 'fresh' breaks. The mount is complete and was attached by two perforated and rounded side lugs (6.0mm long, 6.6mm wide and 1.8mm thick), and secured by separate rivets through carefully drilled holes (2.2mm diameter). The reported object is a complete finger-shaped metal ingot with rounded ends of silvery-grey appearance. The underside and a slightly rounded profile, and two indents may assaying nicks. The upper surface is slightly convex, with a small area of pitting, consistent with the ingot having been cast in an open mould (stone, ceramic or earth).
