Late Bronze Age bronze end-winged axe, belonging to the Carp's Tongue complex of Ewart Park metalworking, corresponding to Needham's (1996) Period 7 and dated to c. 950-750BC. The winged axe is incomplete, missing both wings on the unlooped side (the axe has an overall length of 1360.9mm and a weight of 282.8g). The weight now weighs 12.0g, equivalent to 0.4232 ounces and would originally have been a half-ounce weight. There is comparatively large void within the weight from a casting flaw. The surface has a mid to dark green patina.

Crudely cast, slightly waisted, copper alloy vessel leg. Length 41mm, width 28-33mm, thickness 18mm, weight 77.4 grams. Identifying the vessel type that this leg is from is not possible. Presumably it was either a cauldron, skillet, jug or ewer. Close dating is equally difficult as the form of the legs like this did not change from the medieval period until the seventeenth century (Read 1995, 95).

Several cast copper alloy vessel fragments including the basal end of two vessel legs form different vessels but both plano-convex in section and with decorative outer longitudinal ribs; cast copper alloy rim fragments from four different wide and steep sided vessels (probably cauldrons); and a cast copper alloy rim fragment from a wide and steep sided vessel which includes an integrally cast suspension loop, the upper part of which contains a pronounced wear facet.

Complete cast copper alloy vessel leg. Part of the apparently integrally cast body of the vessel remains attached to the leg. Length 78mm, width 16-17 mm, weight 115.2 grams. Medieval to post-medieval. The surface of the leg is preferentially blackened in comparison to the inside of the vessel body; this "sooting" is a common phenomena and is due to oxidisation of the outer surface of the vessel through exposure to the cooking fire.

Copper alloy object, possibly a surgical implement of Roman date The object is fragmentary, broken or cut on one end and is slightly distorted (with a distorted length of 118.6mm and a weight of 2.4g). Approximately half of the abject is circular-sectioned (1.6mm diameter) and the other half is flattened with a subtle midrib on one face and flat on the opposite face (with a width of 2.7mm and a thickness of 1.2mm). The object consists of a spike, square in cross section and tapering to a point, it is 65.5mm long.  The top of the object measures 8.51mm by 8.54mm, it is broadly flat but somewhat uneven, possibly suggestive of a break.   The object is a mid-brown colour with areas of uneven green corrosion.

A complete pierced Post Medieval copper alloy Taunton farthing trade token, dated 1667. Obverse description: A capital letter T under a tun/cask, two roses flanking the base of the T. Obverse inscription: A • TAVNTON • FARTHING Reverse description: Taunton castle. Reverse inscription: BY • THE • CONSTABLES • 1667 • A hole measuring 2.5mm in diameter is punched through from the reverse (castle side) to the obverse. The token is a shiny brassy colour (caused by the coastal mud) and has a worn and pitted surface.
