A fragment of cast copper alloy and enamel object of unknown purpose, but certainly of Roman date (c. 43-410 AD). The object represents only a fragment of an unknown object, ending in breaks at both ends (the sides appear to be damaged original edges). The object is very broadly rectangular in shape, though the longer edges are concave. These edges are 12.3mm wide in the middle, and 20.17mm at the top and 21.2mm wide at the bottom. Copper Alloy belt mount of Post Medieval date, probably 17th century. The mount has an attachment loop at the top of a decorative, flat-bottomed heart shaped panel. The panel is decorated with scroll design and has an iron attachment rivet near the bottom of the panel. The bottom of the mount has a suspension loop on one side and a central rectangular opening framed by two bars with transverse grooves. The bottom cross bar rises with a U-shape, suggesting a fitting could be inserted into the recess.

Recorded at the Hidden Treasure Finds Day at National Museums & Galleries of Wales. Medieval incomplete copper alloy barb-spring padlock, dating to between the 12th and 16th centuries. The piece consists of the case and broken hasp, with remnants of the iron spring preserved in the case. The bolt and hasp bar are missing. The case is of octagonally faceted section and is decorated with a curved undulating line composed of rouletted triangles, enhanced at the top and bottom with short curved lines. The lower hoop is of sub-triangular section with an external central rib. The hoop expands slightly before reducing in width at the begging of the expanding triangular shoulders. The hoop is of D-shaped section and is 3.5mm wide and 1.7mm thick. The hoop expands at the shoulders to form an oval bezel (16 x 4.2mm). The bezel has an oval border with beaded decoration. The central motif depicts a stylised bird and is likely to represent the popular ‘eagle and child’ with the baby wrapped in swathing at the bird’s feet. The finger ring has lost much of the original surface and weighs 5.5g.
