Fragment of a crudely cast lead alloy (pewter) pot leg from a vessel such as a skillet, ewer or cauldron. The fragment consists of the upper part of the leg. Pot legs of this type were used during the medieval and post-medieval periods. Length (minimum) 53mm, width 47mm, weight 81.2 grams.

Fragment of a lead, or lead alloy (pewter), spoon handle. The terminal is decorated with a set of double concentric ring and dot motifs. Enough of the terminal remains to suggest that it was of the dog-nose form typical of the eighteenth century. Length (minimum) 37mm, width (maximum) 26mm, thickness 3mm, weight 12.3 grams.

Recorded at the Hidden Treasure Finds Day at National Museums & Galleries of Wales. Spoon-handle of lead alloy or pewter of Post Medieval date, probably dating to the 17th or early 18th century. The spoon has corroded, but would have had a rounded expanded terminal and is flat. The front of the spoon carries cast ornament depicting a crowned head above a vine scroll along the stem of the spoon. The rear has a cast cross, before the letter ‘W’.

Late Medieval lead alloy purse bar, c. 15th or 16th century The purse bar is complete with a length of 53.6mm and a weight of 7.1g. The terminals were pointed with a flange before a recess to secure the missing frame. The bars are of sub-rectangular section with attachment plates beneath. The bar widens (to 10.1mm) and thins (to 3.6mm) at the centre to accommodate a perforation (3.0mm diameter), through which the loop would have passed. No decoration is evident on the purse bar. The surface is poorly preserved and has a mid-grey colour.

Post medieval lead alloy smoking pipe or possibly a candle snuffer, probably of 18th century date The pipe has an overall length of 44.3mm and has a weight of 25.5g. The mouth of the piece is distorted and is now oval with an external length of 23.7mm and a width of 15.7mm (13.9 x 9.4mm internal). The mouth has moulded decoration comprising short vertical ribs. The outside of the bowl has four decorative horns and there is a single larger horn between the bowl and stem. Post medieval lead alloy button of 16th century date The cast button is of solid form with an integral looped shank and is complete but the shank is distorted (with a distorted length of 12.5mm and a weight of 4.4g). The loop is at the end of a short shank (3.3mm diameter) and has an oval aperture (4.2mm long and 2.9mm wide). The button head is circular and domed (2.1mm diameter and 5.6mm deep) and is decorated with cast radiating ribs and central pellet. The mouldings are worn around the apex.

Lead alloy decorative bridle boss of Post Medieval date, probably 17th or 18th century. Cast circular boss, decorated around the rim with a chain motif, with a floral or fleur-de-lis pattern every alternate link. The sides of the raised boss are decorated with a linear design. The top of the boss appears to have no decoration. The reverse of the boss shows the remains of the two attachment loops.
