Perforated whetstone of rectangular cross-section, made of a fine-grained siltstone. The stone tapers gently to the flat end. The top of the whetstone has been damaged and is irregular. The perforation is regular and has been drilled; it has been positioned slightly off-centre on one face. All four faces illustrate evidence of whetting, but show no obvious sign of being dished through prolonged use.

Complete cast copper alloy vessel leg. Part of the apparently integrally cast body of the vessel remains attached to the leg. Length 78mm, width 16-17 mm, weight 115.2 grams. Medieval to post-medieval. The surface of the leg is preferentially blackened in comparison to the inside of the vessel body; this "sooting" is a common phenomena and is due to oxidisation of the outer surface of the vessel through exposure to the cooking fire.

Fragment of a large iron vessel (cauldron?) consisting of a separately forged leg, plano-convex in section and with a decorative outer longitudinal ridge, and part of the vessel's base. Dimensions of surviving portion of the vessel's base 96mm x 72mm, vessel thickness 6mm, length of leg 45mm, weight 276.4 grams. Although cast iron vessels of this form were used until the early twentieth century the longitudinal ridge on the leg is similar to those decorating late medieval and post-medieval copper alloy vessel legs suggesting it may be of earlier date.

Pot mend of a steeply sided vessel, crudely cast. Unusual metal type - microscopic examination suggests that it is a heavily leaded copper alloy which may have a tinned surface. Most pot mends are made from straight lead alloys and that this example has been made from a leaded copper alloy suggests that it may be a mend for a copper alloy vessel rather than a ceramic pot. Cast copper alloy zoomorphic ewer spout shaped in the form of a dog’s head with a short barrel protruding from the animal’s mouth, probably of 15th or 16th century date. The dog is modelled with apparently closed eyes, small but upright ears and a slight crest on the back of its head. The spout illustrates no evidence of an attachment device, suggesting it was welded or soldered to the vessel. The spout is paralleled by examples from the moat at Cardiff Castle (Lewis 1991, 4, fig 8A)and an unprovenanced example (Bailey 1997, 57-58 no 5).

Cast copper alloy ewer or laver spout of late Medieval date, probably dating from the 15-16th centuries. The spout is shaped in the form of a duck's head. Many ewer spouts are in the form of dog's heads such as the example recovered from Cardiff Castle (Lewis 1991, 4, fig. 8A), although duck head spouts have been recorded. The duck eyes are defined by an incised circular ring, the bill is open with a protruding short barrel emerging from the animal's mouth. The top of the animal's head is decorated with short incised lines at the centre and above the brows.

The obverse depicts a cross with a pellet in each angle (Powell Type 14), probably influenced by the reverse design of a medieval penny. The reverse is undecorated. It has been slightly bent out of shape. There are traces of four casting sprues near the end of each cross arm. Overall, the token measures 15.4mm in diameter and 2.4mm thick. It weighs 1.62g.
