The reported object is the pin from a small silver annular brooch of stirrup type. The four facets of the pin shaft, which is of diamond cross-section, are incised with zig-zag lines. The wrap-around head of the pin, which would have secured it to the annular frame of the brooch, is missing, but the stirrups that prevented cloth from snagging are partially preserved (surviving width 15.6mm).

The frame is circular with an external diameter of 47.3mm (30.3mm internal). The brooch frame comprises a plain outer bevelled edge, leading to the central ring with eight raised collets.
