Octagonal-sectioned tapering lead, or lead-alloy, weight. The weight is pinched and perforated at its narrowest end for suspension. Possibly for use with a steelyard. The close dating of lead weights is difficult; excavated examples range in date from the Roman period until the nineteenth century. Brian Read has published a similar example which he dates to the 12th to 13th century (Read 1995, 99, no.609). Height 20mm, maximum width 15mm

Medieval lead weight The weight is of shield-shaped form and is near-complete but has damage cuts to the top surface (with a length of 56.8mm). The top edge is near-straight (where it has a maximum width of 52.1mm), the sides are gently convex and converge to the base. The sides are also slightly angled towards the top face. The face as a border (of 5mm) before a step (of 2.8mm) defining an inner shield (42mm long and 31mm wide). Any decoration on the shield in no longer evident. Two-sided lead, or lead alloy (pewter), token. It is crudely made and was probably cast. One side contains a pictorial design consisting of a bird (duck?) facing right adjacent to a vegetal tendril motif; the other side bears a circumscribing legend made up of reversed capitals and unusual letter forms and probably reading "II ISAAC L(?)SO[.]". Diameter 20-21.5mm, thickness 2mm, weight 6.4 grams.

Medieval lead alloy strap-end, probably of late 14th or 15th century date The strap-end is of hollow-ended type, with a cast front plate and sheet back plate. The sheet back plate has been lost. The strap-end has an overall length of 51.5mm, a maximum width at the attachment edge of 26.3mm and a weight of 13.6g. The strap was secured within a trapezoidal box with converging sides (19.7mm x 18.1mm, internal dimensions) by four copper alloy rivet, two of which remain in-situ. Lead Medieval personal seal matrix, probably dating to the first half of 14th century. The matrix is of pointed oval shape and flat. The rear of the matrix has a perforated lug at the apex (now bent against the back), and a raised rib running along the length of the matrix. The die has a central floral motif consisting of an eight-pointed star. The encircling legend is in Lombardic lettering and is now very difficult to discern. An incomplete cast lead circular lead Papal Bulla of medieval date (c.1150-1500). Heavily worn and the face has no trace of the stamp meaning a specific Pope cannot be identified. On the obverse it is just possible to identify the letters SPASPE - 'SPA' for St. Paul to the left and 'SPE' for St. Peter to the right. Near complete lead ampulla of Medieval date, probably dating from the 14th or 15th century. The obverse is decorated with a lozenge design divided into eight triangles by a cross and two diagonals. The exterior of the lozenge is decorated with a hatched pattern. The reverse has a wide cross within a shield. The body is separated from the closed neck by two parallel lines on each face. Both the loops at the base of the neck are missing, the base of one of the loops has a rounded protrusion of uncertain function. The ampulla has suffered some damage to the top of the neck.
