Venice, silver soldino of doge Michele Steno, 1400-1413. The coin is broken into two fragments. [ven] Royal exchanges at London and Canterbury were usually well placed to exclude foreign coins from circulation; however, Venetian soldini are regularly found throughout England and Wales.
