A near-complete cast lead weight of probable Medieval date (c.AD 1350-1500). The weight is triangular in plan and rectangular in section (68.9mm long x 53.8mm wide at the base x 18.2mm thick) with a rectangular perforation/slot that is bigger on one side, probably the reverse (7.6mm long x 3.4mm tall) and is a narrow slit on the other, probably the face. The face is decorated with a moulded border stepped down from the flat surface of the face and defined by a deep groove along the inside edge. A fragmentary cast copper alloy vessel handle from a pot or skillet, likely of Post Medieval date. The handle is cylindrical, circular in plan and measures 98.7mm in length. The handle is thickest at the end with a max diameter of 19.1mm. The end of the handle is smooth and flat with no evidence of percussion marks. A cast copper alloy vessel fragment of Medieval or Post Medieval date. The fragment comprises the foot of a potleg, likely for a cooking vessel (74.5mm long, 27.9mm wide at the bottom of the foot, 33.7mm wide at the break, 15.1mm max depth). The potleg is sub-trapezoidal in section, reaching its widest point at the break and tapers gradually to the foot. Much of one surface is covered in iron corrosion product suggesting iron was present in the deposition environment. The metal is a mottled green patina and weighs 152.28g. The fragment is comprises the foot of a pot leg, likely from a cooking vessel (35.1mm long, 55.8mm wide at the bottom of foot, 41.4mm wide at the break, max depth 25.1mm). The foot is sub-trapezoidal in section with traces of a raised central ridge just before the break. A near complete cast lead object, likely a crude seal matrix of Medieval date (c.1200-1500AD). An incomplete wrought iron barbed arrowhead of Medieval date (c.AD 1200-1300). The arrowhead is comprised of the point, a portion of a barb and the socket with a total overall length of 74.3mm. The arrowhead is triangular in plan and likely of LMMC type 14 with long barbs that would have originally come down as far as the socket, but much of the barbs have bene lost to old damage (resulting in a maximum surviving head length of 46.1mm and width 27.1mm). Description The reported object is a small annular brooch. The silver frame is of circular cross-section. One hoop face is decorated with continuous transverse incised lines inlaid with black niello, the other with six groups of transverse incised lines inlaid with black niello.
